Depot Mk.I

Overview

A Depot Mk.I can be placed on top of a

Depot Mk.I is sometimes referred to as a storage chest, by analogy with similar buildings in other games. It was formerly known as Storage MK.N, where N was written in Roman numerals. Its role is straightforward, but it becomes especially valuable in logistics setups where a small footprint and flexible item routing matter more than raw capacity.
- Use it as a buffer near production lines to smooth out short-term imbalances.
- Pair it with Conveyor Belts for direct item insertion and with Logistics Bots for automatic extraction or delivery.
- Place it on a Splitter when you want to integrate sorting and storage in one compact setup.
- Build a Logistics Distributor on top when you want the storage point to participate directly in logistics network flow.
- Increase or decrease its storage size with the UI slider to match the amount of buffering you actually need.
