Assembling Machine Mk.I

Overview

When placed, it occupies a 4×4 footprint and stands 3 tiles tall, with Sorter connection points in the middle of all four sides. This layout makes it easy to integrate into compact production lines and early malls. Mk.I is also the base machine for upgrading into later assembler tiers, which require the previous tier assembler as an ingredient along with additional advanced materials.
For early-game planning, Mk.I should be one of the first buildings whose production is automated. It is commonly included in a mall so that new factories can be expanded without hand-crafting every machine. Because later assembler tiers increase speed but also dramatically increase power demand, Mk.I remains useful until a stable and abundant energy supply is established.
- Best used for early automation and general manufacturing.
- Lowest energy consumption among assembler tiers, making it ideal while power is limited.
- Can be produced in a mall alongside other essential starter buildings such as smelters, miners, belts, and
Sorters.
- Upgrades to higher tiers improve throughput, but also raise power pressure significantly.
