Conductive Wire Bridge
Overview
Conductive Wire Bridge is a utility building used to route power wires across other wires without connecting the two lines together. It lets a conductive wire span over any other kind of wire, making it easier to route power through crowded areas and maintain separate circuits in a base layout.
Its main purpose is cable management: the bridge preserves the path of the wire while avoiding unwanted junctions with other wire runs beneath it. This makes it especially useful when building layered power grids, crossing over existing circuits, or extending a line through a dense industrial area without redesigning the whole network.
A Conductive Wire Bridge is also part of standard power-distribution planning. Splitting generators onto separate systems can prevent overloads and wasted electricity, and bridges help make those separated systems practical by letting lines cross one another cleanly. In that sense, the building is often used not just for neat routing, but to support more efficient electrical layouts.
A few practical notes:
- It can pass a conductive wire over any other type of wire.
- If overload occurs on a line using a Conductive Wire Bridge, the bridge is damaged before the line itself fails.
- Even a broken Conductive Wire Bridge does not interrupt the power connection, so the wire path remains electrically continuous.
- Because of this, a damaged bridge may still keep the circuit working until it is repaired or replaced.
The building is most valuable in compact bases where multiple generators, transformers, or long distribution lines need to coexist. Used well, it helps keep power networks organized while reducing the chance of accidental interference between separate circuits.
