Gas Shutoff

Gas Shutoff is an automated gas-piping building that lets a circuit control when gas is allowed to pass. Like other automated piping components, it reduces the need for Duplicant intervention and helps save time and power by putting gas handling on a signal-based system instead of manual micromanagement.

It is most useful anywhere gas flow needs to be paused, redirected, or enabled only under specific conditions. Because it is part of an automated system, it fits naturally into sensor-driven setups and can be used to prevent unwanted gas delivery without requiring a Duplicant to operate anything directly.

A few practical notes make it especially useful:

• Unlike Gas Valve, it does not merge gas packets on the output tile.
• A NOT Gate can be used to keep it running continuously.
• It is best used when you want automated control over gas flow rather than simple throttling.

In general, Gas Shutoff is the cleaner choice when a base needs reliable on/off control for gas logistics. It works well in compact automation layouts, especially when combined with logic that turns gas delivery on only when storage, pressure, or another condition calls for it.
