Gas Pipe Thermo Sensor
Overview
The Gas Pipe Thermo Sensor is a pipe automation device that monitors the temperature of the contents moving through a gas pipe and disables connected buildings when that temperature reaches a set threshold. It is used to control gas-processing systems automatically, letting players start or stop machinery based on the temperature of the gas being transported.
Like other thermo sensors, it is placed on a pipe line and set to a specific temperature value. When the gas in the pipe reaches that point, the sensor outputs its signal and can be wired into automation circuits to shut down or enable equipment. This makes it useful for managing cooling loops, gas conditioning setups, and any process that needs to react to hot or cold gas without manual intervention.
- It responds to the temperature of pipe contents, not the surrounding environment.
- It can be used to disable buildings once gas reaches the desired temperature.
- It is most useful when paired with automation wiring and machinery that should only run within a temperature range.
- Because it acts on the contents moving through the pipe, it is better suited to flow-based control than room-based temperature monitoring.
