Geo Vent

Overview

Geo Vent is a vent-type building that processes materials by emitting them in a current output cycle. Its key limitation is that it must finish that ongoing emission before it can accept any new material, so it cannot be immediately refilled or switched to a different input while active.

In practice, this makes the building behave as a single-cycle producer rather than a continuously interruptible one. Once it has started venting, the current emission has to run to completion first, and only then can another material be introduced. This matters when planning delivery lines or any system that expects rapid switching between inputs, because the Geo Vent will always finish what it is already doing before taking the next load.

  • If you want to change what goes into a Geo Vent, wait until the existing emission is complete first.
  • Do not assume it can be retasked mid-output; the building is locked into its current emission until that process ends.
  • Any layout that depends on repeated refills should account for the pause between emissions, since the vent cannot accept new materials during that time.
