Liquid Channel

Overview

Liquid Channel is a transport building used to move liquids and gases through connected pipe systems without consuming power. It moves more volume than pumps, but it only functions when there is sufficient pressure in the network. Because it does not require electricity, it is useful in layouts where power availability is limited or where passive fluid handling is preferred.

In practice, Liquid Channel is best understood as a high-capacity alternative to pump-driven transport. It is part of a pressure-dependent fluid network, so it does not actively force material through a dead line the way a powered pump can. If the system does not have enough pressure, the channel will not function properly, so the surrounding piping arrangement and source conditions matter just as much as the building itself.

This makes Liquid Channel especially valuable in systems where throughput matters more than active control. Because its operation depends on pressure rather than electricity, Liquid Channel fits naturally into passive or semi-passive infrastructure. It is most useful when the player wants large-volume transfer and can support the necessary conditions for flow, while less useful in designs that rely on forcing fluids across weak or unstable lines.
