Liquid Cargo Tank

Liquid Cargo Tank is a cargo module used on space missions to collect and return liquid resources from specific destinations. During a mission, duplicants fill it with any compatible liquids they find, and each completed mission returns 1000 kg of liquid cargo. The exact contents depend on the destination’s resource pool, so the tank is useful only on worlds that actually contain liquids.

It can acquire the following liquids:

• Magma from the Volcano destination
• Water from the Terrestrial destination
• Water and Liquid Hydrogen from the Helium Giant
• Crude Oil and Petroleum from the Oily Asteroid
• Liquid Methane from the Red Dwarf
• Salt Water and Brine from the Salty Dwarf

Other destinations do not provide liquid resources, so sending a Liquid Cargo Tank there has no payoff. To unload the stored liquids after recovery, a Liquid Pipe must be connected to the tank.

Because it is constructed from 200 kg of Refined Metal but has a mass of 300 kg, the module is heavier than its construction material alone suggests. Like the other cargo modules, its description still reflects the older space-mission system rather than the planet-to-planet travel used in Spaced Out.
