Conveyor Loader Fitting

Overview

A Conveyor Loader Fitting is a rocket module fitting used to access stored cargo during flight. Its description across languages makes clear that it serves as an in-flight access point for luggage or other stored supplies, letting a rocket’s contents be handled while the mission is underway rather than waiting until landing.

In practical use, the fitting is tied to the cargo system on a rocket and is meant to work with the Conveyor Loader. It is the counterpart to the Conveyor Receptacle Fitting, which is used for unloading rather than loading. The fitting’s available resource filters include several categories that do not always match the module’s actual storage behavior, so it is important to understand what it can and cannot do.

  • It can be configured for categories such as edible food, cooking ingredients, and medicine, but the Cargo Bay module itself cannot actually select those resources directly.
  • Those resources can be forced into a Cargo Bay by using a Conveyor Receptacle Fitting.
  • The fitting also shows options for non-breathable gases and liquids, even though there are no pipes connected to it, and the Conveyor Loader has no corresponding option.

This makes Conveyor Loader Fitting more of a specialized logistics interface than a general-purpose storage connector. Its main value is in supporting rocket cargo handling during flight, especially when paired with the correct loading and unloading fittings. Players using it for complex space logistics should pay close attention to which module they are actually attaching it to, since some resource categories appear selectable but are not fully supported by the cargo bay itself.
