Lava Slime

The Lava Slime is a common enemy native to the Molten Quarry. It is one of the more dangerous slime variants because it has a larger aggro range and moves faster than standard slimes, making it more likely to close distance before the player can react.

On contact, the Lava Slime inflicts burning damage for 8 seconds, so even brief melee encounters can become costly if the burn is not accounted for. Its primary spawning method is on Ground Magma Slime placed in any biome, which makes it possible to encounter it outside its native region when that terrain is present.

• Its increased movement speed makes kiting it more difficult than other slimes.
• The extended aggro range means it can detect and engage the player from farther away.
• Avoid prolonged close-range contact, since the burn effect continues after the hit.
• Any biome containing Ground Magma Slime can support its spawning.
