Overview

Cloth is part of Dinkum’s clothing system and is one of the game’s main customization categories. Clothing items are used to change a character’s appearance, with a wide variety of head, face, body, and leg-slot options available. Dresses are worn in the pants slot and behave like skirts, and they now have physics so they sit more naturally on the player.

Clothing can be obtained in several ways. Common sources include Clover’s Catalogue, the clothing on display in her shop Clothing Shop Deed, rewards for completing NPC jobs, gifts sent by NPCs to the mailbox or Post Box, and items found in the Recycling Bin. Some clothing is only available for a limited time during the first week of Summer starting in Year 2, when it appears in a prize box for the John’s Goods Anniversary event or the Sky Fest event. A few special head items also rotate through Jimmy’s Boat.

Some clothing pieces can be customized further at the Customise Pack Table, which can turn them into different pack variants such as Bum Bag Pack, Handbag Pack, Messenger Pack, and Tote Pack. This makes clothing more than cosmetic, since certain items can be used as part of a broader loadout or style setup rather than simply being worn as-is.

  • Clothing is a major part of player appearance and customisation.
  • Dresses occupy the pants slot and function like skirts.
  • Limited-time event clothing appears only during specific seasonal windows.
  • Special headwear may be sold through Jimmy’s Boat on a random rotation.
  • Some items can be altered into pack variants at the Customise Pack Table.

For players building outfits, clothing sets can help with planning matching looks, while other variable wearables expand the number of items that can be equipped in the head and face slots.
