Iron Bar

Overview
Iron Bar is a refined metal resource made from Iron Ore and used throughout mid- to late-game crafting and progression. It is one of the main processed ores in Dinkum, and because of its broad recipe coverage it is worth stockpiling once iron mining becomes routine.
It can be produced by smelting 5 Iron Ore in a Furnace or Blast Furnace. The standard Furnace recipe takes 40 seconds and yields 1 Iron Bar, while the faster Blast Furnace recipe takes 10 seconds and yields 2 Iron Bar. Iron Bar can also be bought from John’s Goods, found in Wooden Chests in treasure rooms inside the Deep Mine, obtained from Gacha Machine loot, and indirectly accumulated as Iron Ore respawns on rough soil.
Iron Bar is used in a large number of crafting recipes and progression tasks, including railway parts such as Curved Railway Track, Switch Railway Track, and Railway Bridge, as well as station and utility crafting like the Hunter’s Crafting Table, Jewellery Table, and Customise Pack Table. It is also required for Vehicle Licence Level 3 and appears in several of Fletch’s Deeds as a building material once placed. Because many recipes consume multiple bars, keeping a steady supply from ore processing is more efficient than relying on purchases or loot.
