Machine Manual

The Machine Manual is a tool that can be purchased from John’s Goods, found in the display area on the right side of the shop where John stands. It is used to view the available recipes for each machine type, making it a reference item for planning production and crafting setups.

To use the Machine Manual, stand in front of a machine and hold left-click, or press and hold X on an Xbox controller. When used this way, it displays the machine’s compatible recipes so you can check what it can make before loading materials.

It also shows compatibility with windmills and solar panels, helping players confirm which power sources work with their machines. In practice, it is most useful when setting up a workshop or expanding an automated production area, since it lets you check machine options without trial and error.
