Liquid Source

Infinitely outputs liquids. Sandbox only.
Overview

Practical notes and interactions:
- Place piping so an adjacent conduit contacts the
Liquid Source tile; the source will begin supplying its native fluid immediately and continuously.
- Use
Liquid Source to seed a base with the map’s default fluid for boilers, combustors, or other liquid-consuming structures to avoid early-game shortages.
- Even though the supply is infinite, use storage tanks if you need buffering for fluctuating consumption or to feed multiple production lines in bursts. Standard storages hold 1000 units (moderate) and 2700 units (large) on procedurally generated and campaign maps.
- Transport over distance benefits from dedicated transporter types: single-direction pumps/pipe segments carry small volumes (e.g., 50 units for basic pipe segments), bridge pipes let fluids cross terrain, and larger conduits carry increased volumes (120–150 unit-class capacities depending on transporter).
- Liquid Sources cannot be moved or reclaimed; defending the area around them is important on contested maps because losing access severs your primary fluid supply.
- When routing multiple liquid types, keep lines separated with junctions or crossing conduits that allow two lines to cross without mixing.
