Ceiling Light

The Ceiling Light is a ceiling-mounted light source that provides the same light radius as a Lamp when placed on the ceiling of a 4-tile-high room, but at a higher power cost. Its main advantage is placement flexibility: it can be installed in tight or cluttered spaces where other fixtures are difficult to fit, making it useful for compact builds and enclosed farms.

Like all light sources, the Ceiling Light reduces Duplicant stress and is required for the growth of certain plants, including Bristle Blossom. It also grants the “Lit Workspace” effect, increasing the speed of machine operation, eating, using the toilet, washing hands, and showering by 15% while Duplicants are in the light.

• Its horizontal coverage is widest on the 5th and 6th tiles below it, reaching 11 tiles across.
• Because of its low heat output and easy placement, it can be paired with a Thermo Sensor to help warm plants without resorting to more intrusive heat sources.
• It is especially useful in cramped farms or industrial rooms where a floor-mounted Lamp would take up valuable space.
