High Pressure Gas Vent

Overview

High Pressure Gas Vent is a gas venting building that can expel gas even into environments that are already highly pressurized. Unlike a standard Gas Vent, it is designed for situations where the surrounding gas pressure would normally block or limit output, making it useful for advanced gas handling systems and dense industrial setups.

Its main advantage is that it can continue releasing gas into areas with higher-than-usual pressure, allowing it to serve as an outlet in pipelines or rooms where ordinary vents would struggle. This makes it especially valuable when managing sealed gas loops, compressing gases for storage, or routing exhaust through tightly packed base infrastructure.

Because of the pressure it can create, careless placement can be hazardous. If used without attention, High Pressure Gas Vent may build up a very high-pressure atmosphere nearby. Duplicants who pass through the area without protection can suffer Eardrum Rupture, which increases their stress. For that reason, it should be placed where dupes will not routinely walk, or where access can be controlled.

When planning a vent line, it is worth considering both the pressure tolerance of the receiving area and the path duplicants will take nearby. A High Pressure Gas Vent is best treated as an industrial component, not as a general-purpose room fixture.
