Liquid Output Fitting

The Liquid Output Fitting is a powered rocket component used to transfer liquid out of a rocket’s internal storage and into external liquid storage, most notably a Liquid Reservoir. It is useful when a rocket is parked on a Rocket Platform and you want to make use of the colony’s power supply to unload fluids without relying on a more elaborate onboard setup.

In practice, the fitting lets a rocket’s stored liquid be drained into a Liquid Reservoir for later use during space missions. This makes it a convenient way to prepare supplies ahead of launch, or to empty the rocket after returning with cargo. Because it requires power, it can serve as a bridge between a docked rocket and the colony’s infrastructure, especially when the rocket is sitting on a Rocket Platform and you want to keep the transfer process tied to the base grid rather than the rocket’s own power system.

A common use is temporary installation. Once the Liquid Reservoir is filled and the fuel or mission supply has been moved out, the Liquid Output Fitting can be dismantled if it is no longer needed. In some cases, the surrounding cargo tank and battery module can also be removed, depending on how the rocket is being configured for the next mission. This makes the fitting especially handy during refits, cargo recovery, or when a rocket only needs to serve as a short-term transport vessel for liquids.
