Rover's Module

Overview

Rover's Module is a rocket module used for exploration. It allows a Rover to conduct expeditions on planetoids that do not yet have Rocket Platforms built, making it useful for early or temporary off-world surveying before a full launch site exists.

Because it does not depend on a prepared rocket infrastructure, Rover's Module gives players a way to send a mobile explorer to otherwise inaccessible places without first establishing a complete space base. It is especially relevant when reaching a new planetoid for the first time, or when exploration needs to happen before normal rocket operations are available.

In practice, Rover's Module is part of the game’s exploratory progression rather than a long-term substitute for rockets. It is best thought of as a lightweight way to move a Rover into a new area so it can investigate terrain and nearby points of interest where a Rocket Platform has not been constructed yet.

  • It can be used only on planetoids without built Rocket Platforms.
  • It enables exploration in locations that would otherwise require a more developed space setup.
  • It is associated with Rover-style exploration and the Trailblazer Module in the broader rocket exploration chain.
