Tentacle

Overview
The Tentacle is a common enemy native to the Sunken Sea. It is a sea-water creature rather than a land-based one, and it spawns primarily on sea water in that biome, appearing much more frequently when there are nearby ground tiles.
In combat, the Tentacle attacks by throwing jellyfish projectiles at the player. These projectiles deal a large amount of damage, making the enemy dangerous even though it is common. Its attack pattern gives it pressure at range, so it should not be treated as a harmless ambient creature just because it is frequently encountered.
- Tentacles spawn on sea water in the Sunken Sea.
- Their spawn rate increases next to ground tiles.
- They attack from range by launching jellyfish projectiles.
- Their projectiles deal high damage, so avoiding their line of fire is important.
Official concept art refers to it as the “rock throwing tentacle,” highlighting its projectile-focused behavior.
