Ironeye

Overview
Ironeye is a Nightfarer archer and assassin affiliated with the secretive organization known as the Order. Nicknamed "Ironeye" for his unshakable judgment and deadly precision, he specializes in long-range suppression, creating exploitable weak points on foes and firing supersonic arrows that ignore conventional defenses. If the player does not recruit him, Ironeye will appear at the Roundtable Hold.
Ironeye functions as a dexterous, bow-focused character whose core design emphasizes marksmanship and tactical debilitation. He begins each run with Ironeye's Bow and prefers bows as his primary weapon class. His passive ability Eagle Eye increases the number of items dropped by enemies and also applies this bonus to allies. Ironeye's Character Skill, Marking, uses a short dagger cut to open a temporary weak point on a target; dealing damage to that point destroys it and staggers the foe, and damaging the weak point extends its duration. His Ultimate Art, Single Shot, fires a supersonic arrow that pierces all defenses, enemies, terrain, and structures; the player may hold to draw and aim before release. Ironeye can perform critical attacks using a loose arrow.
Stat scaling for Ironeye at level 15 shows notable investment in Vigor (37, C) with secondary scaling in Strength (19, C), Mind (14, C), Faith (13, D), and Intelligence (7, D), reflecting a build that supports survivability and some melee or hybrid options alongside archery.
Ironeye's unique relic synergies emphasize his marking-and-shot playstyle. Relic effects tied to him include adding poison when his Art is activated, boosting thrusting counterattacks after executing Art, extending the duration of the weak point created by Marking, granting +1 additional Character Skill use, and, at deeper relic tiers, causing the Character Skill to inflict heavy poison damage on poisoned enemies and offering alternate stat adjustments (improved Arcane with reduced Dexterity or improved Vigor and Strength with reduced Dexterity).
Recommended relics and effects focus on maximizing bow damage, utility from status procs, and exploiting the weak point mechanic: guaranteed relics like Grand Luminous Scene and Dark Night of the Beast provide persistent attack increases, map treasure markers, and stamina/attack synergies; Edge of Order specifically enhances Ironeye by boosting thrusting counterattacks after Art and improving bow attack power. Best individual relic effects for Ironeye include multiple Character Skill uses, stacking bow attack improvements, physical attack boosts that scale with encounters, extensions to weak point duration, and poison/frostbite interactions that further amplify his damage when combined with Art-based poison application.
Practical tips and interactions:
- Use Marking to create a focal weak point on large or armored foes; concentrate follow-up bow shots or allied attacks on the marked area to break the point and trigger a stagger window.
- Single Shot is effective for clearing lines and piercing clustered enemies, terrain, and structures—hold to aim for precision against high-priority targets.
- Relics that add poison to Art activation or that increase damage against poisoned enemies synergize strongly with Ironeye’s kit; combining these effects accelerates weak-point destruction and overall DPS.
- The Eagle Eye passive makes Ironeye valuable for runs focused on farming materials, as his drops bonus also benefits companions.
- Consider builds or relics that shore up Dexterity reductions if selecting deep relics that trade Dexterity for large gains in Arcane, Vigor, or Strength; those trades change playstyle toward hybrid or melee-augmented archery.
- Cosmetic options and chalices unlock progressively: several garb variants unlock after defeating Nightlords or Night Aspects and by spending Sovereign Sigils, while multiple chalices and special Grails become available through Nightlord defeats and Bazaar purchases.
