Illuminator

Emits light.
Overview
The Illuminator is a placed building that emits light when powered. It functions as a power-dependent lighting source: its emitted intensity and effective radius scale with how much power the structure receives. When the Illuminator is supplied with only part of its required power input, the intensity of the light it produces falls accordingly rather than remaining at full strength.
The block was added in an unknown build and received balance adjustments in Version 7.0: its construction now requires an additional 8
Practical notes and interactions:
- The Illuminator requires power to emit light; reduced power input produces proportionally reduced light intensity and radius.
- Effects that modify speed will proportionally affect the Illuminator’s light radius. Applying speed boosts (for example, via game mechanics or blocks that increase update speed) increases the effective illumination area.
- Because its brightness scales with power, wiring and power generation stability are important for maintaining consistent illumination across a base or pathway.
- The added Lead in the build cost makes placement decisions more deliberate; prioritize Illuminators where the increased radius provides clear tactical or logistical benefit to justify the resource expense.
