Remove Ore

Overview
Remove Ore is a buildable block that clears ore veins and deposits from the map when activated. It is used to remove unwanted resource veins or scrap piles to reshape the terrain or deny resources to enemies and AI. The block appears as a utility/interaction block in the game and integrates with the game’s logic and map editing mechanics.
Remove Ore interacts with the map’s ore generation by erasing ore tiles in its effective area. When placed and triggered, it removes applicable ore types (including
Practical usage and notes:
Remove Ore is commonly used near bases and chokepoints to clear space for walls, turrets, and power infrastructure so that defenses can be placed without interrupting conveyor layouts or drill placement.- Use
Remove Ore strategically to deny resource access to enemy attackers on maps where multiple spawn points allow waves to take alternate paths via ore-rich areas. - Combine
Remove Ore with logic and control blocks: connect a processor or switch to toggle the block on/off based on game conditions (for example, clear an area only after a base has power or after a wave ends). - Clearing
Scrap Ore or coal-rich veins near power or production blocks prevents fires from spreading when those veins would otherwise be broken by enemies and ignite structures containing coal.
- Because removing ore is irreversible for that play session, plan placement carefully; preserve veins you need for long-term production (copper, lead, silicon, etc.) and use
Remove Ore to eliminate only unwanted deposits. - When preparing for naval or mixed waves, clear shallow-water ore deposits that provide alternate crossing paths to force enemies into prepared chokepoints and concentrated turret fire.
Remove Ore is a straightforward but powerful map-control tool for advanced base planning and defensive optimization. Use it conservatively and in coordination with drills, conveyors and defensive lines to maximize the benefit of the cleared ground.
