Overview

Facility 32 M is a mountainous Derelict sector centered on a ruined industrial complex focused around explosive and chemical production. The map is dominated by rock and Salt with pools of water and scattered patches of Pyratite; small and medium veins of Coal, Titanium, Pyratite, and Thorium appear in inconvenient locations. The player Core lands in the center-right of the main ruined facility, inside a room populated by several remaining structures tied to past production: multiple enemy Hail turrets, mixers for Blast and Pyratite, mining machines, and storage containers. A smaller ruin sits in the southwest with a cluster of five containers. Two enemy drop zones in the north periodically launch waves of attackers toward the Core; there is about one minute and forty seconds between waves.

Enemy composition and behavior on this sector include frequent early flame and missile attackers, recurring Quasar units that fire piercing beams capable of penetrating walls and destroying fragile blocks, and specialized enemies that target power and production blocks. Quasars appear in mid and late waves and are the primary threat to remote defenses because their piercing beams bypass conventional walls. Other threats include units that set blocks on fire, attackers that heal by damaging player blocks and units, and waves that specifically target crafters and power storage.

The ruined facility contains useful salvage and factory pieces but also constrains expansion; deconstructing much of the ruin after landing is recommended to create room for conveyors and your own production chains. Salvaging the facility uncovers extra tiles of Coal and Pyratite that can be put to immediate use. Two Pyratite veins southeast of the Core lie near a water pool and are convenient for producing explosives and boostable mining setups; the largest Titanium veins are in the southwest and are best reserved for higher-tier production.

Practical strategy and recommended priorities:

  • Research and build defenses that stop piercing beams before attempting this sector. Building Phase Walls (or equivalent beam-stopping blocks) is essential because Quasar beams will cut through normal walls and destroy fragile structures like Plastanium or batteries if left unprotected.
  • Use turrets with range and durability: replace basic 1x1 turrets after the first few waves with larger multi-tile turrets such as Scatters, Cyclones, Salvos, and Ripples as enemy numbers increase. Scatters and Cyclones are especially useful against waves that target production blocks.
  • Equip Salvos and Ripples with Pyratite ammunition when available; Pyratite ammo improves their lethality and is an effective choice for mid-tier defenses. Be mindful that explosive enemies will seek out and try to detonate near fuel or volatile blocks.
  • Prefer Laser Drills for high-yield mining when you have the power to support them; water boost significantly increases their output. Steam or combustion generators can be used for straightforward power setups, though setting up water-cooled power on-site is effective for longer operations.
  • Mobile mining with Mechanical Extractors (recommended over standard drills) speeds resource collection, particularly when boosted by nearby water. Prioritize securing the small ore patches immediately north and south of the ruin, or transport ore from richer but more distant veins.
  • Defend power and production blocks proactively: some enemies specifically target power storages and crafters, and others heal themselves by chewing on your structures. Place multiple high-damage turrets (Scatters/Cyclones) near critical infrastructure and use repair systems or redundant power paths where possible.
  • Use the ruined facility’s mixers and containers for early production and storage before clearing space for your own factories. Deconstruction not only frees room but reveals exploitable resource tiles.
  • Expect heavier waves starting around wave 7; scale up turret size and ammo production ahead of that point. Keep ammunition supplies and power generation robust so turrets do not run dry when waves include piercing or fire-based attackers.

Facility 32 M rewards quick reclamation and careful planning: secure nearby Pyratite and water for boosted mining and Pyratite-based ammunition, build beam-stopping defenses for Quasars, and convert the cramped ruined complex into an efficient staging area for expanded production and defenses.
