Overview

Ore Wall Tungsten is the Tungsten ore tile in the game world, represented by the tile variable ore-tungsten. It functions as a natural Tungsten deposit that production buildings interact with; most notably, drills extract Tungsten from this tile for use in crafting and construction.

Tungsten Ore tiles occupy terrain in regions where ores spawn and are treated like other resource tiles such as Copper, Lead, Titanium, Thorium, Coal, and Beryllium. A drill placed on a Tungsten Ore tile will harvest Tungsten as its output and feed that resource into conveyors, containers, or directly into adjacent buildings. The tile is part of the same ore tile family used across campaign and custom maps and behaves consistently with other ore tiles when mined.

Practical notes and interactions:

  • Place mining drills directly over the Tungsten Ore tile to extract Tungsten; conveyors or junctions should be attached to accept the mined product.
  • Tungsten Ore is a static terrain tile; removal or replacement can be done by map-editing tools or by game mechanics that target ore tiles (see map region tools such as Remove Ore).
  • Tungsten Ore coexists with other environment tiles and overlays; environmental block overlays provide decoration or minor benefits when layered on top of environmental blocks, but ore tiles themselves serve primarily as resource sources.
  • When planning bases and production chains, treat Tungsten the same way as other ores: route, store, and refine or use it where required by recipe or construction.
  • On maps with interplanetary or custom content, ore tiles including Tungsten are placed according to region design and core-zone mechanics; they are not produced by cores but are fixed resource nodes on the map.
