Improved Jack Hammer

The Improved Jack Hammer is a rechargeable upgrade to the standard Jack Hammer. Like the other improved tools, it does not break from use, but it must be recharged once its durability is depleted. This makes it a long-term tool rather than a consumable one, and it is built around repeated use instead of replacement.

It is commissioned at Franklyn’s Lab after meeting the unlock requirements tied to Berkonium research. To unlock the recipes for items that require Berkonium, the player must deliver Berkonium Ore to Franklyn and also donate Shiny Discs. Once commissioned, the item is delivered to the mailbox the following morning. Its recipe also requires Dinks and additional materials, so the first one cannot be crafted immediately without the required progress and parts.

A notable advantage of the Improved Jack Hammer is that its durability can be restored at the Charging Station. Recharging takes 600 seconds and restores 1 unit of charge, so keeping it useful depends on planning ahead and returning to a charging setup before it runs out. Because it is rechargeable rather than disposable, it is best treated as a permanent mining tool for extended excavation sessions.
