Jack Hammer

The Jack Hammer is a high-speed mining tool used to break rocks much faster than normal tools. It can also be used on old barrels and wheelie bins, making it useful for clearing obstacles as well as gathering stone-related materials. Once obtained, it is handled like other toolbelt tools: equip it in an open slot and then click and/or hold the attack button to use it.

The tool is commissioned at Franklyn’s Lab after donating 35 Shiny Discs to Franklyn and having Mining Licence Level 3 from Fletch. It arrives in the mailbox the next day. The Jack Hammer’s durability can also be restored at a Charging Station, taking 600 seconds to recharge one unit.

• Use it when you need to clear many rocks quickly, since it is much faster than standard mining tools.
• It can break old barrels and wheelie bins, so it is also handy for clearing junk in the world.
• Keep an eye on its power meter: if the Jack Hammer runs out of power, it breaks and disappears.
• Because it is rechargeable, it is worth restoring rather than replacing when possible.
• Commissioning it requires both the Shiny Disc donation and Mining Licence Level 3, so it is a later-game tool.
