Iron Hoe

The Iron Hoe is a farming tool used to till dirt. When used, it tills a 3×2 area in front of the player, letting large patches of farmland be prepared quickly instead of tile by tile. This makes it useful for setting up crop fields efficiently once a player starts expanding into larger-scale farming.

It can be crafted at the Crafting Table after obtaining Farming Licence Level 3 from Fletch. As a higher-tier hoe, it sits in the farming progression as an upgrade over earlier tools and is intended for more efficient field preparation. Its durability can also be repaired at the Repair Table, so it can be kept in service rather than replaced when worn down.

In practice, the Iron Hoe is best used when laying out or reworking cultivated land in open spaces, since its tilling pattern covers a wider area directly in front of the player. That makes it especially convenient for straight rows, broad plots, and other farm layouts where speed matters. Because it affects multiple tiles at once, positioning is important: lining up your movement before swinging helps avoid tilling unwanted ground and keeps fields neat.
