Overview

The Dodo Chick is a juvenile cattle creature and the baby form of the Dodo. Like other cattle, it can be raised and fed, and it will grow into a full Dodo after eating 8 times. Because of that, it functions as a progression stage rather than a separate long-term form.

Its main significance is that it is the starting point for obtaining a Dodo. Players who want the adult creature need to keep it fed until it matures, so the chick should be treated as livestock to be managed rather than a temporary ambient creature. Once it has eaten enough, it transforms into a Dodo automatically.

Dodo Chick has the following talent effects:

  • +2–10% dodge chance
  • +5–25% dodge chance after standing still for a short duration

These effects indicate that the creature can contribute defensive bonuses when used in a setup that takes advantage of dodge-based play. The second effect rewards remaining stationary briefly before moving or engaging, making the bonus stronger in situations where you can prepare before combat.

In practice, the Dodo Chick is most useful when you are planning ahead for its eventual growth. Keep it fed consistently, since the transformation requirement is fixed at 8 meals. If you are using it for its talent effects, positioning and timing matter: the standing-still bonus encourages brief pauses before fights or before entering danger, while the baseline dodge bonus provides a smaller always-on benefit.

  • Feed it 8 times to grow it into a Dodo.
  • Treat it as a raised creature, not a separate end state.
  • Its talents focus on dodge chance, with a larger bonus after standing still briefly.
  • It is best used in builds or situations where dodge chance is valuable.
