Prototype

Prototype is the first combat drone unlocked in Dyson Sphere Program. It is available very early, but its combat performance is poor and, at the stage when it becomes available, drone-related performance upgrades cannot yet be applied. As a result, it has little value as a frontline combat unit.

In practice, Prototype is mainly useful as an intermediate material for later drones such as Precision Drone and Attack Drone. Its other minor use is as an early practice unit for learning how combat drones behave before better models become available.

• It is the earliest combat drone, but also the weakest.
• It is not a strong choice for combat once other options are available.
• It can serve as a training unit for understanding drone behavior.
• It is best treated as a crafting component for later combat drones.
