Hauling Post

Overview

Haulers assigned at Hauling Posts do not need to repeatedly return to their post while performing deliveries. They only return when they become idle. The physical placement of Hauling Posts is therefore flexible and generally does not impact the haulers’ efficiency, so long as the Districts has a functioning network of paths and reachable buildings that require hauling.
- Assigning at least one
Hauling Post to a higher work priority helps maintain hauling capacity when population falls, while leaving additional Hauling Posts at low priority prevents efficiency from collapsing during low-population periods.
- Set workplace priorities rather than relying on population alone; when population is low, create jobs with lower priority so new Beavers can immediately take up hauling tasks without disrupting essential workflows.
- Monitor the Districts for the Out of Haulers' Range alert; it indicates there are no employed haulers and that Storage buildings, prioritized workplaces, and certain Constructions will not receive transported inputs.
- Because haulers do not need to return to their post while working, place Hauling Posts where they are convenient for overall Districts layout or near idle Beavers rather than attempting to position them adjacent to every storage or workplace.
