Bot Assembler

Bot Assembler is a Timberborn production building that assembles complete bots from bot parts produced by Bot Part Factories. It was introduced in Update 2 under the name Golem Factory and was later renamed to Bot Assembler in Update 3. Earlier game assets and screenshots may still show the obsolete names Golem Factory or Golem Assembler.

The building occupies a 3x3 grid of flat surface when constructed. Its role in a bot production line is strictly to combine the three component types—Bot limb, Bot head, and Bot chassis—into functioning bots; it does not manufacture parts itself. Visual and legacy asset names in older releases refer to the obsolete terms Golem Factory or Golem Assembler.

Practical notes on throughput and setup: Bot Limbs are produced four times faster than Bot Heads and Bot Chassis at a Bot Part Factory, while the Assembler itself operates at about half the speed of the factories that make Heads and Chassis. Because of these relative rates, an efficient industrial layout balances the higher limb output with assembly capacity to avoid bottlenecks. A commonly recommended configuration is to run three Bot Part Factories (one dedicated to each component type) paired with two Bot Assemblers to harmonize production rates and assembly throughput. Adjustments to this ratio affect achievable bot population sizes and should be planned according to your settlement’s goals.
