Folktails

Overview
Folktails is a playable faction in Timberborn defined by a distinct visual style and a set of unique housing options. Folktails beavers are light-coloured compared with other factions, and the faction has several lodges and lodge variants as its signature buildings. The folktails portrait and icons show the model beaver used for the faction, and the demo-era Beavers of Demoria became the basis for Folktails; the community name for the model beaver was Mangonel.
Folktails start with access to multiple housing buildings that scale from a tiny single-resident lodge to a large multi-story residence. The Mini Lodge is the smallest and cheapest option: it is 1x2 tiles in size and provides housing for 1 beaver; it is inexpensive to unlock and inexpensive to build (unlock cost 50, build cost 5). Mini Lodge: 1x2 tiles, houses 1, unlock cost 50, build cost 5.
- Lodge: 2x2 tiles, houses 3, build cost 12.
- Lodge (Mirrored): same size and housing as Lodge, entrance mirrored.
Double Lodge: two stories, houses 6, unlock cost 150, build cost 20; entrance on second floor.
Triple Lodge: 3x2 tiles, two stories, houses 9, unlock cost 250, build cost 35; entrance on second floor.
- Folktails buildings and icons use a lighter color palette to reflect their lighter fur.
- The faction’s artwork includes a full-body illustration, an icon, a portrait of the model beaver, and icons for adult and kit beavers.
