Lantern

Lantern is a small decorative building that provides light to nearby beavers and structures. It appears as a standalone light source that can be placed to brighten paths, squares, and work areas, improving visibility and contributing to the settlement’s aesthetic without occupying large amounts of space.

Lanterns install on flat ground and are often placed under platforms or near frequently used routes and activity zones to keep those areas illuminated. They do not require workers to operate once built and do not consume resources or power during normal operation. Lanterns are commonly used to mark entrances, line streets, and complement public squares or gathering places.

• Lanterns can be integrated into built environments by placing them under Double Platform or adjacent to other small fixtures to preserve walking space while providing light.
• They are primarily decorative but play a practical role in organizing colony layout by making important tiles visually distinct at a glance.
• Because Lanterns do not need upkeep or fuel, they are safe long-term additions to both early- and late-game colonies.
