Overview

Hedge is a decorative building in Timberborn that appears as a planted shrub or small hedge element used to shape and embellish settlements. It is presented in-game as a border or ornamental planting and is shown in the gallery artwork as a decorative hedge bordering a campfire.

The hedge occupies a single map tile and has a defined influence area that extends one tile outward in all directions. Its effective area therefore comprises the eight tiles surrounding the hedge. When a hedge is selected in the game, this effective range is highlighted in orange to indicate which adjacent tiles are covered by the hedge's area of influence.

  • The hedge is used primarily for decoration and landscape design; place hedges to form borders, frame plazas, or accent buildings.
  • A single hedge affects the eight surrounding tiles (the immediate orthogonal and diagonal neighbors). The selection highlight shows this range in orange.
  • Position hedges next to campfires, paths, or public spaces to achieve visual borders as shown in the in-game gallery.
