Overview

Bot Chassis is a craftable component used in Timberborn for assembling mechanical bots. It functions as the basic frame item required by bot-related blueprints and appears among the industrial crafting components players produce to create robotic units. The item was introduced in Update 2 and carried the name Golem Chassis until it was renamed Bot Chassis in Update 3.

Bot Chassis is made at the Bot Part Factory. The recipe requires 1 metal block and 5 planks. Players must supply those materials to the Bot Part Factory to produce a single chassis. The component is commonly stored and transported like other crafted goods and is consumed when used in bot assembly recipes.

The word chassis derives from the French châssis and the Old French chassiz, meaning "frame" or "framework," which reflects the component’s role as the structural frame for a bot.

  • Crafting requirements: 1 metal block + 5 planks, crafted in the Bot Part Factory.
  • History: introduced in Update 2; renamed from Golem Chassis in Update 3.
  • Role: base frame component used in bot assembly recipes and other bot-related crafting.
  • Etymology: name traces to French châssis, meaning frame.

Consult in-game production menus and the bot assembly recipes to see which specific bots and items require the Bot Chassis.
