Overview

Beaverome is a playable map in Timberborn. The map was introduced in Update 1 and received content additions in later updates; Badwater was added in Update 5 and the map has been updated in Version 1. Visual assets for the map include an overhead view and a top-down numbered lakes image shown in the game's gallery.

Beaverome shares the same core beaver mechanics and survival constraints used across Timberborn. Beavers on this map follow the game's age and life progression, advancing one age every three in-game days. If a beaver has no needs satisfied, its life expectancy is 50 day-and-night cycles. The game distinguishes between vital needs, which will cause death if unmet, and optional needs, which have no negative effects when neglected but grant positive bonuses when fulfilled.

Work and rest rhythms are governed by the global working hours setting. By default, beavers work during the day and sleep at night with a default workday length of 16 hours. Working hours are adjustable at any time up to 24 hours or down to 0 hours and directly affect productivity, leisure time, sleep, and shelter gains. Increasing working hours raises productivity but reduces leisure and can reduce sleep and shelter fulfillment. Decreasing working hours produces the opposite effects.

Consumption rates for beavers on Beaverome match the game's standard rates. At normal game speed (1) with an in-game day equal to 480 seconds, observed average consumption values are roughly 2.75 units of food per beaver per day and 2.25 units of water per beaver per day. Hunger decreases at approximately 0.17% per second and thirst at approximately 0.15% per second. Individual food or water items replenish substantial portions of the corresponding meters (for example, a single food item can replenish roughly 30% of the hunger meter and a single drink about 33% of the thirst meter, per observed calculations).

Beavers must satisfy basic needs to remain alive; these are categorized as vital needs. Optional needs are available and provide bonuses when met but are not required for survival.

  • The map has visual resources including "Beaverome" and "Beaverome Overhead View" images and a top-down numbered lakes image that can help plan expansion and water management.
  • Expect standard Timberborn aging: beavers advance an age every 3 days and can live up to 50 day-night cycles if needs remain unmet.
  • Manage working hours carefully: raising them increases productivity but reduces time available to fulfill leisure, sleep, and shelter needs.
  • Use standard consumption planning: budget roughly 2.75 food and 2.25 water units per beaver per day at normal speed to avoid shortages.
