Overview

Frame material is a late-game crafting material used primarily in Dyson Sphere Components and the structures that support Dyson Sphere construction. It is one of the core materials for building the shell itself, and it also serves as a major consumer of Carbon Nanotube and Titanium Alloy production.

Its main role is as a component in the production chain for Small Carrier Rocket parts, which eventually feed into Small Carrier Rockets. Because of that, Frame material sits near the top of the industrial ladder and becomes a key bottleneck for any factory scaling toward Dyson sphere construction. It is also used in a number of advanced buildings, including Vertical Launching Silos, the Miniature Particle Collider, and the Advanced Mining Machine.

  • Primary use: Dyson Sphere Components
  • Production chain role: used to make Small Carrier Rocket parts, leading to Small Carrier Rockets
  • Additional uses: advanced endgame buildings, including Vertical Launching Silos, Miniature Particle Collider, and Advanced Mining Machine
  • Other noted use: material for the Destroyer

In practice, Frame material is best treated as a strategic endgame resource rather than a general-purpose building ingredient. Its demand rises sharply once Dyson Sphere progress begins in earnest, and it is often one of the materials that determines how quickly a player can transition from planetary industry into large-scale stellar construction. Since it consumes significant amounts of Carbon nanotube and Titanium alloy, factories that produce it usually require strong upstream supply chains for both materials.

Because of this, Frame material can also be useful in a mall or centralized logistics setup. Even if its direct consumers are limited, keeping a steady stock available helps avoid interruptions when unlocking or mass-producing late-game infrastructure.
