Carbide Crucible

Fuses graphite and tungsten into carbide. Requires heat.
Overview
Carbide Crucible is a crafting block that smelts

Its recipe is relatively power-intensive and fast for the materials it handles. The block consumes 120 power per second, takes 34 ticks to complete one craft, and produces Carbide at 1.77778 per second when supplied continuously. In practice, this means it is most useful when attached to a stable Tungsten and Graphite supply, with enough heat infrastructure nearby to keep it running at full speed.
Because it converts two solid inputs into a more advanced output, Carbide Crucible is best placed where both of its input materials can be delivered efficiently. If either Graphite or Tungsten is inconsistent, the machine will spend time idle and its high power demand becomes less efficient. Like other heat-based production blocks, it should be integrated into a base layout that already supports thermal processing rather than isolated in a remote production line.
Carbide is the advanced material produced here and is closely associated with durable, late-game industrial systems. In real-world chemistry, carbides are compounds made from carbon and a metal; the in-game material is most likely based on tungsten carbide, a very hard substance used in heavy machinery and cutting tools.
