Overview

Large Wind Turbine is a building in Timberborn that functions as a large-scale wind power structure. It occupies a variable footprint depending on its height: at heights 3 through 5 the building uses a 3x3 tile footprint, while at heights 1 and 2 it occupies a single 1x1 tile base. The structure combines vertical height and a broader upper footprint to capture wind more effectively at taller construction stages.

The Large Wind Turbine includes an internal storage component that can hold up to 180 units of a single type of resource. The building’s visual presentation and placement can be used to form extended arrays or walls of turbines; community screenshots and gallery examples show combined installations that integrate water storage, power storage and contiguous rows of turbines under construction to create larger functional complexes.

The Large Wind Turbine was previously named Large Windmill in an earlier version of the game (Version 1), reflecting a renaming in the project history.

  • The building’s footprint changes with height: 1x1 tiles at heights 1–2, expanding to 3x3 tiles at heights 3–5. Plan placements and adjacent structures around the base accordingly.
  • Internal storage capacity is 180 units for a single resource type; design layouts that rely on turbine storage should treat that as the per-building limit.
  • Rows or walls of Large Wind Turbines can be used to create combined structures that link power and storage visually and functionally; gallery images from the community show turbine walls being built alongside water and power storage elements.
  • The structure was renamed from Large Windmill in an early update; any legacy references in guides or older mods may use the former name.
