Overview
Navanax is an endgame aquatic assault unit that combines area EMP projectiles with four autonomous melting laser turrets. It appears as a large sea unit on Serpulo maps and is used both offensively to punch through defended bases and defensively to clear swarms and suppress enemy production and repair. Navanax occupies a unique niche: its EMPs can both severely slow or speed up powered blocks and apply the Electrified status to units, while its continuous lasers melt nearby targets at very high sustained DPS. Navanax’s armament consists of two independent systems. Four autonomous continuous lasers fire at 4 × 0.35 shots/sec, each laser lasting about 2.58 seconds with a reload, delivering approximately 324 damage/sec per laser (27 damage/tick, 12 ticks/sec) and supplying a small repair contribution per tick; these lasers are incendiary, piercing, and cannot be manually controlled. Two EMP cannons fire 2 × 0.46 shots/sec launching homing explosive EMP projectiles that deal 60 direct damage and 70 area damage with a roughly 12.5 tile blast radius. EMP shots deal triple damage to powered blocks (effectively 180/210), have very low unit damage scaling, apply Electrified (~8 seconds), grant +200% speed to friendly powered blocks (about 20s) and -80% speed to enemy powered blocks (about 20s), and provide 20% repair on hit. EMP projectiles home to their target and their damage is absorbed by Plastanium Walls, though status effects can still propagate through those walls.
In play, Navanax is extremely effective at crippling enemy power and repair infrastructure. The EMP’s repair suppression and Electrified multiplier (reducing firerate to 0.7× for many parts) make Menders and powered turrets far less effective; Navanax gained an explicit Repair Suppression ability in a later build that suppresses repair for 25 tiles for 1.5 seconds, and unit repair towers are affected by suppression. Because its EMPs can both accelerate allied powered blocks and slow enemy ones, Navanax is commonly used to boost endgame turrets that consume power: 


Several interactions and caveats shape practical deployment. Plastanium Walls will block the EMP’s damage but still allow the Electrified status to propagate through; this means Navanax can suppress and slow units and powered blocks behind 


Navanax has seen several notable balance and data changes: added in early builds, its speed was standardized to 4.87 tiles/sec (Build 128), its item capacity was adjusted (settled at 230 items), the command limit was removed, laser and EMP stats have been tuned across builds, and descriptions were clarified to note that its lasers melt enemy targets. Its combination of EMP suppression, speed-boosting support for powered blocks, and autonomous high-DPS lasers make Navanax a versatile but situational unit best used where water access and careful integration with your power/repair network are available.
