Suspension Bridge 5x1

Overview
Suspension Bridge 5x1 is a bridge segment used to cross gaps in Timberborn. It belongs to the Suspension Bridges category and is the smaller of the suspension bridge pieces used for spanning water, terrain breaks, and other empty spaces that standard buildings cannot pass over.
A single Suspension Bridge 5x1 can span a gap of 5 tiles. When placed in sequence, two of them can span a 10-tile gap. The piece itself is 6 tiles long overall: 1 tile is occupied by the anchor point, and the other 5 tiles form the suspended span.
In practice, this means the bridge needs more room than the gap it covers, because one end must be anchored on solid ground. When planning a crossing, it is important to account for that extra tile on at least one side so the bridge can be placed correctly. The 5x1 variant is useful for shorter crossings or as part of a longer bridge setup where multiple suspension bridge pieces are chained together.
- Spans 5 tiles with a single piece.
- Requires 6 tiles of total placement length.
- 1 tile is reserved for the anchor point.
- Two 5x1 pieces can cover a 10-tile gap.
