Overview

Tubeway is a building used in Timberborn that provides horizontal tubeway sections for infrastructure and construction planning. Tubeways can be placed in continuous runs and interact with other platform and station structures to form walkable or serviceable corridors for beavers and builders.

Tubeways can be dragged to place L-shaped sections quickly, and they connect automatically to other existing Tubeways. Along with the Vertical Tubeway, Tubeways can be built under fluids. Open-ended Tubeway sections do not let water into the system and are not affected by the Flooded status. Tubeways cannot connect directly vertically or under a Tubeway Station. Platform placed above Tubeways do not help them connect upwards, but Tubeways can be built under existing Platforms and Overhangs, allowing for longer-term planning that reduces the need for demolishing and rebuilding adjacent infrastructure.

Builders' Huts can build while physically inside the Tubeway Station, which extends the Iron Teeth builders' versatility and reach and allows building and cleanup projects to occur immediately around the station footprint and to expand outwards quickly. Beavers assigned to other workplaces must exit the station for tasks not handled from inside the station.

  • Tubeway sections can be placed by dragging to form L-shaped runs that auto-connect to other Tubeways.
  • Tubeways and Vertical Tubeways share the ability to be placed beneath fluids; open ends do not admit water and are immune to Flooded effects.
  • Tubeways do not form direct vertical connections and cannot connect under a Tubeway Station; platforms above do not create upward connections.
  • Tubeways can be installed under existing Platforms and Overhangs to preserve or extend infrastructure with minimal demolition.
  • Builders' Huts operating inside a Tubeway Station can perform building and cleanup tasks from within the station, while beavers from other workplaces must leave the station for outside duties.
