Overview

The Blooming Frilly is a wild animal in Dinkum. It is an aggressive creature that will quickly run toward the player, making it dangerous to approach carelessly. Its attacks are centered around a lashing tongue, and being hit by it applies a Sickness Debuff for 30 seconds, preventing the player from eating during that time.

Because of this, fighting or handling a Blooming Frilly is best done with caution and enough space to react. Its speed makes it harder to disengage once it has started pursuing the player, so maintaining distance is important if you are not prepared to deal with its attack. The Sickness Debuff is especially disruptive in longer fights or when the player is relying on food for recovery, since it temporarily removes the ability to eat.

When dealing with a Blooming Frilly in the context of hunting or capture, it must be brought back up onto the island in order to be sent off. That makes transport an important part of managing the animal, rather than simply defeating it where it appears. In practice, this means the Blooming Frilly is not only a threat during direct contact, but also an animal that needs to be moved safely before it can be fully processed or removed from the area.
