Jelly Fish

The Jelly Fish is a wild animal in Dinkum found in the oceans anywhere on the map. It is an aggressive aquatic creature that will react when the player swims nearby, making a warning icon appear above it before it slowly moves closer and attacks with poison.

A poisoned player receives the sickness debuff for 30 px and cannot consume food while sick. This makes Jelly Fish more dangerous than their slow movement suggests, especially when exploring far from shore or while already low on health. Because they inhabit open water across the map, they are a consistent hazard whenever the player swims through the sea.

For hunting, the Jelly Fish is easiest to deal with at night using the Bat Zapper, which kills them instantly. To use it effectively, the player may need to jump on top of the Jelly Fish before striking. The Slingshot and Bone Bow are also effective choices, and spear variants remain one of the most versatile weapon types for general hunting.
