Scrub Turkey

The Scrub Turkey is a wild animal in Dinkum. It is a passive creature by default, meaning it does not defend itself and will flee if attacked. Because of this, it is one of the easier animals to approach and hunt, although it can still be forced into danger if predators are nearby.

Scrub Turkeys are typically not threatened by the places they spawn, but they can be attacked by other hostile animals in the area. When hunting them, speed and reach are useful because they tend to run rather than stand and fight. The various forms of the spear are generally the most versatile weapons for hunting in game, making them a strong choice for chasing down moving wildlife like the Scrub Turkey.

When defeated, a Scrub Turkey drops Raw Drumstick and/or Feathers. These drops make it a useful early hunting target for players who want basic food and animal materials. If you are gathering resources efficiently, it is worth taking advantage of their passive behavior and focusing on clean pursuit rather than prolonged combat.
