Damages and destroys enemy projectiles in a radius. Requires cyanogen.

Overview

Shockwave Tower is an Erekir-exclusive defensive block that intercepts and destroys incoming enemy projectiles within a short radius. Introduced in Version 7.0, it functions as an area anti-munition tower that detonates to neutralize enemy shells and missiles before they reach your lines. It requires Cyanogen to operate and must be supplied continuously to remain active. The tower is categorized among Erekir Miscellaneous Blocks.

The tower’s effective blast radius registers as 21.25 in internal units (approximately covering a 19-tile area in practice). Its output parameters are a firing rate of 0.75 per second and a per-shot damage value of 160, which defines the destructive force applied to intercepted projectiles and nearby threats. Operational inputs listed for the Shockwave Tower are 100/sec and 1.5/sec; one of these is Cyanogen consumption (the tower explicitly requires Cyanogen), while the other represents its other steady input as documented. Build time was adjusted after release: the block’s build time increased from 3.9 seconds to 6.1 seconds in post-release tuning.

Because Shockwave Tower destroys enemy munitions in an area rather than acting as a conventional direct-fire turret, placement and supply logistics are central to its effectiveness. Deploy multiple towers in overlapping layers—behind walls, behind direct-fire turrets, and near repair or regen projectors—to guarantee that enemy shells are fully intercepted and to increase the frequency of detonations. Parallel deployments also compensate for single-tower cooldown and increase overall interception coverage.

There is no direct Reinforced upgrade branch for Shockwave Tower. Performance improvements come from redundancy, careful link planning, and ensuring stable resource throughput (both Cyanogen and the other required input). Attaching the towers to reliable conveyor or liquid networks and protecting supply lines with backup storage reduces downtime and prevents gaps in anti-munition coverage.

Practical notes and tactics:

  • Place Shockwave Towers slightly behind the frontline so projectiles must pass into their coverage before hitting primary defenses or core structures.
  • Overlap radii between multiple towers to make interception near-certain; stagger placement to avoid blind spots from building geometry.
  • Prioritize steady Cyanogen supply and the other listed input; fluctuations will directly reduce tower activity.
  • Use Shockwave Towers in combination with long-range turrets: Shockwave Towers remove incoming artillery and missiles while long-range guns focus on enemy units.
  • Because the tower deals area destruction of projectiles, it is especially valuable against waves that rely on heavy shelling or missile barrages.
  • Build-time increase to 6.1 seconds slightly delays field deployment compared to initial release; account for this when planning base expansion during a wave.

Shockwave Tower is a specialized defensive asset: it does not replace conventional turrets but fills a critical role defending structures and production lines from enemy ordnance when supplied correctly and positioned for overlapping coverage.
