Core: Acropolis

Core of the base. Exceptionally well armored. Stores more resources than a Citadel core.
Overview
The
Upgrading into an Acropolis requires that a core zone exists underneath every tile that the new 6x6 core will occupy; the game enforces this same requirement for core upgrades across different planets. Because it is the largest core, the Acropolis can be built by upgrading any smaller core type, including other high-tier cores. On the world Erekir, Acropolis-class cores grant additional armor and exhibit planetary-specific behavior: Erekir cores scorch or incinerate items that are not used to build blocks, and their design assumes multiple cores may be built on a single map due to their cost and behavior differences compared with Serpulo-style cores.
Key gameplay characteristics:
- Size: 6x6 — the only block in the game with this footprint.
- Health: 30000 (Erekir 6x6 stat).
- Armor: 15 (Erekir cores have armor; Serpulo cores do not list armor).
- Item capacity: 4000 (Erekir 6x6 stat).
- Max active units: +15 (Erekir cores maintain a constant active-unit bonus across tiers; Serpulo cores increase active-unit capacity each tier).
Practical notes and strategy:
- Ensure full core-zone coverage before attempting an upgrade: every tile the Acropolis will occupy must lie over a core zone, otherwise the upgrade cannot proceed.
- Plan base layout early to accommodate the 6x6 footprint; because the Acropolis is much larger than other cores, you may need to relocate or rebuild adjacent infrastructure when upgrading.
- On Serpulo-style maps, higher-tier cores progressively increase the number of max active units, so the Acropolis provides a large active-unit pool; on Erekir, active-unit capacity remains fixed at the stated bonus, but the Acropolis gains armor and different item behavior.
- Be aware of Erekir-specific item handling: cores on that planet remove (incinerate) items that are not consumed in block construction, which can complicate mass-production or overflow handling strategies. This makes placing multiple cores or ensuring items are quickly consumed by factories and storage more important on Erekir.
- Because the Acropolis greatly expands shared storage and unit caps, it is commonly a focal point for late-game logistics and unit deployment; protect it accordingly with defenses and redundancy when possible.
