Rooster

Rooster is a domesticated farm animal obtained from a wild Rooster using a Domesti-Crate. Once kept on a farm, it sleeps in a Bird Coop and eats Animal Food from an Animal Feeder.

Roosters are treated like other livestock for care and breeding. To keep them happy and productive, they need a home, food, and daily attention. If these needs are met, they will continue to produce and can be used for breeding.

• A Bird Coop provides shelter for one Rooster; other animal shelters do not count.
• Roosters need to eat Animal Food once per day from an Animal Feeder.
• They do not die if unfed, but they become unhappy and stop producing.
• Petting the Rooster each day raises its hearts more quickly; the Guitar also satisfies the attention need.
• NPCs sometimes wander into a pen with a gate and pet the animal.
• For breeding, the Rooster must not be sick, must have shelter, and must have been fed the previous day.
• Using Duff Dust on a Rooster during Animal Breeding increases the chance of fertilised eggs, and can raise the number of chickens produced up to three per rooster. Fertilised eggs can still appear without Duff Dust, but at a lower chance.
